FN receives international award!
Fantastic Norway was recently announced as the winner of Iakov Chernikhov International Prize 2010, amongst a selection of 133 nominated architects from around the world. The award is given every two years by Iakov Chernikhov International Foundation (ICIF) to stimulate creativity within the field of architecture. “….The Prize will be awarded every two years to masters of contemporary architecture for the best architectural concept and combine an innovative response to our time, and simultaneously offer a professional challenge to the future….“
In addition to the acknowledgment the price represent a generous grant of 50 000 Euro. This year’s curator of the Iakov Chernikhov price was Stefano Boeri (Italy).
Kjetil Thorsen Trædal (co. founder of Snøhetta) which is part of the expert panel, states: “…ICIFs price is one of the most important and prestigious international architecture prices. This is reflected in the jury’s ambitious composition, and primarily in their ability to highlight future architects and mindsets….”.
